Catering for a prestigious independent school in central Cambridge, our dining offer provides fresh, nutritional food for approx. 350 pupils and 120 staff on a daily basis as well as ad hoc hospitality. As the school has summer lets and summer clubs, this is a full-time contract (not term time only)

As the Chef Manager, you will be:

leading and managing a team of chefs, food services assistants and kitchen porters
cooking and preparing dishes from scratch using seasonal ingredients
creating exciting and nutritious menus for day to day as well as theme days
building and maintaining a strong working relationship with colleagues and students

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks (full-time contract)

Our ideal candidate would be:

a strong Chef Manager with a proven work history
ideally experienced in catering for independent schools or B&I catering
a real foodie with a genuine passion for ingredients and produce
able to manage a team with good leadership skills
attentive to detail and presentation
strong in communication skills
flexible and positive with a can do attitude
