Klopper Jonker Incorporated of 1st Floor Terrace Building, 1 Eaton Terrace, New Redruth, Alberton requires the services of a candidate legal practitioner (candidate attorney) from 3 February 2025.
What is expected from the Candidate:
1. Opposed and Unopposed court appearances in various Magistrate Courts.
2. Drafting of various documents including pleadings, notices, letters, contracts, wills, agreements, heads of argument etc.
3. Consultations and/or meetings with clients, advocates, opponents etc.
4. Service and filing of documents.
5. Indexing and paginating of office and court files.
6. Research of legislation, case law and other information.
7. General office and support functions to all departments in firm.
Candidate Requirements:
1. LLB degree (all requirements for LLB degree have been met by the candidate by December 2024)
2. Fluent in English which includes excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
3. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
4. Dynamic with an eagerness to learn, self-disciplined and the ability to work in a pro-active manner without constant supervision.
5. A quick learner with an ability to follow instructions.
6. Must be articulate, professional and able to work within deadlines.
7. Work as part of a team, approach each task with enthusiasm, deliver work of a high standard and seizing every opportunity to learn and grow in experience.
8. Candidate must be based in Gauteng.
9. Must have valid Driver’s License
