Our Johannesburg office based in Melrose Arch serves as the company’s Functional Hub for the Southern African Operations which include Global Services, Technology, and Enterprise Resource Planning Support Teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a permanent full-time position.
As a coordinator for cash payment and cash services, you will be responsible for providing support, coordination, and administration of the Cash management activities, as outlined in the Global Business Services’ Partnership Agreement in a timely, accurate, and customer-focused execution for South32.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Cash clearing activities including daily clearing and reconciliation of bank accounts, month-end processes, and preparing bank reconciliations;
- Cash accounting services for the South African region including Customer Foreign Currency (CFC) payments, receipts, and funding (drawdowns) - Validating and/or providing Standard Bank with the relevant information in accordance with the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) rules and regulations for all outward or cross-border payments, creating Standard Bank Online Payments to SARS;
- Employee expense management: Amex card applications, card cancellations, limit increases, submit allocations/manual remittances to Amex, Concur Administration and queries, User access administration, Employee expense queries, Delinquency Report escalations, and Credit transactions review;
- Corporate expense management: processing of new applications, limit increases, cancellation of Visa Purchasing cards, and reconciling and processing claims for the SA region;
- Cash and Treasury governance, including participation in Internal and External Audits, Stewardship Reviews, and SARB and Central Bank Audits.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Minimum 3 years experience in Finance Function or a Shared Services Environment;
- Understanding of accounting standards, legislative requirements, and regulations;
- Understanding of compliance and governance requirements.
Qualifications for this role are:
National Advanced Certificate (2 years) or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
