An English Teacher is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in East London.
You will need to cover KS3 to KS4 classes for this English Teacher role.
This English Teacher role can be part or full time and will run on a temporary basis.
The rates of pay for this English Teacher position will be between £160 to £300 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School
There is currently no Ofsted rating for the school, as it has only recently opened. A heavy focus is placed on Grammar at the school. Students are entered into GCSE and EPQ qualifications. From Year 7 to Year 11, all pupils learn the 3 Core Sciences, English, Maths, Ethics and Sports. At 6th Form level, all pupils must take up a Maths and Science course. They must then choose two more subjects from Philosophy, Economics, Humanities, Latin, English Literature or Art. The reason for this is because the school wants to produce future scientists, medics, and engineers. Currently, the school is split across two different sites that fall in two neighbouring boroughs, with one acting as the main site for lower school and the other acting as the upper school site.
Requirements
You are welcome to apply if you are a recently qualified English Teacher or experienced English Teacher. Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained English Teacher or overseas trained English Teacher. - Right to work in the UK
- UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- Experience of teaching as an English Teacher in UK schools
