We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Physics to lead our Physics department, inspire students, and drive the development of an outstanding curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Physics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons at all key stages, including GCSE and A-Level.
- Support and mentor staff within the department, promoting professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, implementing strategies for improvement.
- Ensure the curriculum is innovative, challenging, and prepares students for academic success.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the vision and direction of the science faculty.
About You: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Physics or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
- Leadership experience or significant responsibility within a science department.
- Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.
- A passion for science education and a commitment to developing the next generation of scientists.
