Westmead. Opportunity exists for a driven, outgoing Business Developer to join an accredited technical training provider. A sales background is needed, and candidates must have experience in a technical training environment and/or a qualification as an Artisan.
This position will suit a sales-focused go-getter with the ability to think outside of the box.
Responsibilities include:
- Actively create awareness about the brand in the KZN branch and establish a network of clients and related stakeholders.
- Ensure sales targets are met by promoting the company’s services in the market and converting leads into sales.
- Collect relevant market intelligence and design a value proposition for clients.
- Attend industry-relevant events and stay updated on developments in the industry.
- Hold feedback sessions with clients, ensuring enrolment aligns with available resources, and manage the training process efficiently and effectively.
- Create a database of companies that can host learners for mandatory on-the-job training.
- Ensure that host companies comply with the SETA and other relevant bodies' requirements for hosting learners and assist companies in compliance where necessary.
- Act as a 2IC to the General Manager and oversee the basic day-to-day functioning of the branch.
Requirements:
- At least three years of experience in the technical training environment (not negotiable).
- Tertiary qualification in Sales and Marketing.
- Familiarity with SETAs, NAMB, and QCTO administrative requirements.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours.
