Our Client within the Financial Services Industry is currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Working closely within the business to identify and manage legal risks
- Ensuring that the business enters into commercial arrangements (including ICT and IP) on terms that are acceptable
- Negotiating, drafting and vetting commercial agreements
- Providing legal advice to the business
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant Law/Legal Degree and Admission in relevant jurisdiction (South Africa).
- Min 5 years post admission commercial law experience in negotiating, drafting and vetting commercial agreements including software, technology, digital services and Intellectual Property transactions and agreements.
- Risk management (including regulatory and compliance) and corporate governance experience.
