Key Responsibilities: Data Collection & Management:
- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources (e.g., project management systems, financial records, production data).
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by conducting routine data validation and quality checks.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand data requirements and provide data support.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse construction project data, financial performance, resource allocation, and other key performance indicators.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to track project progress, cost management, and workforce performance.
- Use data visualization tools to present data insights in an easily digestible format for management and team leaders.
Trend Analysis & Forecasting:
- Assist in identifying trends and patterns in project costs, resource utilization, and team productivity.
- Support the development of predictive models and forecasting reports based on historical data to inform future project planning.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, HR, and other departments to ensure data insights are aligned with operational needs.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve project outcomes and operational efficiency.
Database Management & Optimization:
- Support the optimization of internal databases to improve data retrieval processes and support better decision-making.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the accuracy of company databases, ensuring that data is up-to-date and accessible.
Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certification in Data Analytics or Data Science (e.g., Google Data Analytics Certificate, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.
- Familiarity with handling large datasets and extracting insights from project-related data.
- Extensive experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI and other data analysis tools is essential.
- Experience with construction industry-specific data (e.g., cost analysis, project timelines, resource utilization) is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data in simple terms.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
