Job Duties - Data Entry and Financial Record Maintenance : Recording daily financial transactions, entering data into accounting software, and maintaining accurate records.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable : Processing invoices, handling payments, and managing vendor and client accounts. They may also help with collections and reconciling accounts.
- Assisting with Audits : Helping prepare and organize financial documents for audits, both internal and external.
- Bank Reconciliations : Comparing the company's bank statements with its financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing Financial Reports : Assisting in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports for review by senior staff.
- Expense Tracking and Reimbursements : Monitoring expenses, processing reimbursement requests, and maintaining records of expenditures.
- Payroll Assistance : Supporting payroll processing by verifying employee hours, tracking deductions, and ensuring payroll records are updated.
- Supporting Budgeting and Forecasting : Assisting in preparing budgets, analyzing variances, and generating financial forecasts.
- Compliance and Tax Filing : Supporting tax preparations, maintaining compliance with relevant financial regulations, and helping with tax documentation.
- Providing Support for Financial Analysis : Assisting in analyzing financial data to help the team make strategic decisions.
Junior Accountants are also often responsible for administrative tasks, including organizing financial documents, scheduling meetings, and communicating with vendors or clients.
