Responsibilities:
Supervision: Provide effective leadership and supervision to packing area
staff and warehouse personnel.
Inventory Management: Ensure accurate and timely recording of all stock
movements, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of product handling and packing.
Operational Efficiency: Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards to create a safe working environment for all employees.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on stock levels, warehouse performance, and any issues or discrepancies encountered.
Communication: Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication across the organization.
Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise promptly and effectively, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Inventory Reconciliation: Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliation to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Requirements
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or stock control
environment.
Strong understanding of stock control principles and inventory management processes.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and related software.
