Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned accounts to track and recover outstanding debts
- Plan and execute strategies to collect payments efficiently
- Locate and contact debtors to inquire about their payment status
- Negotiate payment plans and payoff deadlines
- Handle questions, complaints, and disputes professionally
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments
- Build trust with debtors to prevent future issues
- Regularly update account statuses and maintain accurate records
- Escalate cases to superiors when debtors are unwilling or unable to pay
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Debt Collector
- Ability to work effectively with targets and tight deadlines
- Knowledge of legal requirements related to debt collection
- Proficiency in MS Office and database management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Confidence and professionalism when dealing with debtors
- Matric certificate essential
