DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist core QS Staff and current Operations Department with day-to-day operations of the business.
- Improve and develop existing estimating system and/or the ability to implement new estimating systems.
- Create systems to mitigate shortcomings and risks.
- Foresee problems and mitigate risk for the business and corporate client is critical.
- Traditional QS software experience is a prerequisite.
- Managing enquiries for tender purposes, and adjudication of Tenders.
- Contract Bill of Quantities, contract administration.
- Site Measures
- Prepare Interim Payments, Final Accounts, Engineering Estimates and Cost Reporting
Additional requirements:
- Experience on other business software systems is considered an advantage.
- Strong people skills and the ability to work with technical-orientated people is considered an advantage.
- Experience in using Estimating Software.
- Have experience working in a team.
- Attention to detail imperative.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or higher
- Must be registered with SACQSP as a Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor
- 8+ years'' experience in a Quantity Surveying Office
Skills
- MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Adobe
- Experience in any Accounting and Procurement Software (BuildSmart, etc.)
