URGENT We are urgently seeking a head chef to lead our client's trendy Mediterranean restaurant based in Knysna.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Preparing and cooking Mediterranean dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
- Ensuring ingredients are fresh and high-quality, and that food is cooked and served at the correct temperature.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and monitoring food inventory levels.
- Working with other kitchen staff.
- Training and developing kitchen staff, and providing performance feedback.
- Planning and adhering to a strict schedule to ensure meals are served on time.
- Adding the correct amount of spices, cutting vegetables evenly, and cooking dishes for the proper time.
- Keeping track of inventory levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring food waste.
- Planning menus and researching new dishes for the restaurant.
