Qualifications
Operator A: ($50,835.20 Min - $79,580.80 Max)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma /GED.
- Work experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator B.
Licenses or Certifications
- Florida DEP Class "A" Water Treatment Plant Operator license.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Operator B: ($46,113.60 Min - $72,155.20 Max)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma /GED.
- Work experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator C.
Licenses or Certifications
- Florida DEP Class "B" Water Treatment Plant Operator license.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Operator C: ($43,929.60 Min - $68,723.20 Max)
Education and Experience
- High school diploma /GED.
- Work experience as a Water Treatment Plant Operator trainee.
Licenses or Certifications
- Florida DEP Class "C" Water Treatment Plant Operator license.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates a Class "A" Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility to control flow and processing of groundwater in order to produce and provide an uninterrupted supply of potable water to customers.
- Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and test results to determine processing requirements.
- Complies with state and federal regulatory requirements in providing potable water to the City.
- Completes, consults with and/or assists in daily technical operations of the assigned Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility.
- Perform other related duties as required.
