Job Responsibilities
Assume responsibility for Roll Grinding Processes and technology.
• Leading strategic roll-grinding improvement projects.
• Responsible for the roll management system.
• Assume responsibility for the roll grinding and roll building team.
• Use advanced statistical/analytical tools to optimize roll grinding and surface performance.
• As the Roll Grinding Custodian across the site, the individual is required to foster strong partnerships with other process teams.
• Lead process problem-solving initiatives and implement necessary improvements to improve process capabilities within the Cold Rolling area, primarily focusing on recoveries and machine uptime (Roll Grinding as well as other surface related improvements).
Desired Experience & Qualification
BTech / BSc Engineering (Mechanical).
• Proven track record in the Mechanical Engineering field (Minimum of 5 Years).
• A good understanding and experience of Roll Grinding, with Cold Rolling (Knowledge of Hot rolling would be an added advantage).
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and economics of manufacturing.
• Project management and engineering skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a minimum requirement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft systems.
• Good leadership, organization, and team building skills.
