**Job Title:** **Hair and Beauty Tutor**
**Location:** **3 Dimensions School, Chard**
**Salary:** **£19,200 per annum (not pro rata)**
**Hours:** **24 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm **
**Contract:** **Permanent, Part-Time; Term Time only**

Hair and Beauty Tutor to join our close-knit team at 3 Dimensions School. We

As a Hair and Beauty Tutor, you will connect directly with the brilliant
pupils we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their
education. Each individual has so much potential, and they will rely on you to
guide their learning journeys.
You will prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty
of hands-on experience. You will take responsibility for their emotional and
physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the
world.
Supporting pupils with complex needs is important and rewarding work, and you
will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced
teams. As you help our pupils achieve real and significant progress, you will
enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives.
**Responsibilities**
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive hair and beauty lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
* Develop individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
* Provide hands-on instruction in hair cutting, styling, colouring, skincare, makeup application, and other beauty treatments.
* Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
* Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
* Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
* Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during practical sessions.
* Organise and supervise practical assessments and examinations.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications**
* Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable.
* Experience working with SEN students is highly preferred.
