*Job Summary*
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bathroom goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as adherence to all driving regulations and company policies.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork as required.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Adhere to all company policies regarding health and safety practices while on the road and at delivery sites.
* Provide excellent customer service by being courteous and professional during interactions with clients.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in commercial driving is essential, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles.
* A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is required.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving in various conditions.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while on the road.
* A good understanding of customer service principles is beneficial for maintaining positive client relationships.
* Assist with heavy lifting and moving of items as required during deliveries.
* Start times vary from 05.30am to 07.30am
* Average working week is 42-45 hours Mon to Friday
