Purpose of the position The Finance Manager will play a key role in managing the group's financial operations, ensuring that financial reporting, analysis and budgeting are accurate and timely. The Finance Manager will work closely with senior management to improve financial performance and support business growth Key performance areas 1. Financial Planning and Analysis Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision making. Perform financial analyzes to identify trends, risks and opportunities and make recommendations to senior management Perform reconciliations and deal with any discrepancies or problems. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, highlight deviations and suggest corrective actions. 2.Reporting and Compliance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. Coordinate the preparation of management reports. Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements. Manage all SARS submissions, ensure timely and accurate reporting of tax liabilities. Handle SARS inquiries effectively and deal with tax related issues. 3. Cash Flow Management Monitor cash flow to ensure that the company has sufficient funds for operational requirements. Optimize cash flow through effective management of debtors, creditors, and inventory. 4. Risk management Identify financial risks and develop strategies to manage them, including exchange rate exposure and credit risk. Implement internal controls to protect company assets and comply with company policy. 5. Systems and Process Improvement Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting. Implement best practices in financial management and reporting. 6. Personnel Management Lead, monitor and evaluate the performance of the finance team. Assess and review the work of team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial standards. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team. 7. Cooperation with Stakeholders Maintain contact with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions. Minimum tuition / qualification required Relevant Finance qualification (BCom/BCom Accounts) Appropriate Postgraduate courses/qualifications Completed clerkship (SAICA) Registered with relevant industry body as CA(SA) Minimum experience required 1 - 5 years' after completing clerkship Key Competencies / skills / attributions required: Advanced Excel skills.
