Commercial Manager
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial aspects of a business, with the primary goal of driving revenue growth and maximizing profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement commercial strategies:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential markets.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align commercial strategies with overall business goals.
Sales and Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze financial data, sales figures, and market trends to assess performance and identify opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and other business partners.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all commercial activities.
- Mitigate risks and resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification.
- Proven 8 years experience in a similar commercial management role, preferably within the same industry.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for sales and financial analysis.
