Are you a CA(SA) with significant experience within the motor vehicle dealership industry? If so, our client, located in the western region of Johannesburg, is currently seeking a dedicated Finance Franchise Manager to join their finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team, overseeing their performance, and actively participating in day-to-day operations to ensure the team achieves its objectives. Your duties will encompass various aspects of financial management within the dealership, including but not limited to vehicle floorplan analysis, reconciliation, management, and reporting. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to maintain the financial health and ensure compliance across all dealership operations.
Duties: - Overseeing cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability
- Developing strategic plans and forecasts to guide financial decision-making
- Managing timely and accurate payments to vendors, suppliers, and creditors
- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of bank accounts to maintain financial accuracy
- Conducting daily reviews of dealership performance to identify opportunities and challenges
- Analysing, reconciling, managing, and reporting on vehicle floorplan financing to optimize inventory management
- Analysing and managing aging accounts receivable and payable to maintain healthy financial relationships
- Monitoring and managing outstanding cash balances across all divisions and accounts
- Compiling and analysing reports on work in progress to monitor project statuses and resource allocation
- Managing the submission and processing of service plans and claims for efficient customer service
- Handling the submission and processing of warranty claims to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance
- Monitoring inventory aging and maintaining accurate lists of vehicle stock, parts, and accessories to optimize inventory turnover
- Managing transactions and documentation related to cash vehicle sales
- Maintaining control and accuracy over the fixed assets register to ensure compliance and asset management
- Calculating, managing, and disbursing commissions accurately and promptly
Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: - Matric
- BCom Accounting
- CTA
- CA(SA)
Experience: - Completed SAICA articles
- 3 – 4 years post article experience
- Motor vehicle dealership experience PREFERRED! NB!
- Must be open to travel
- Strong understanding of financial statements, analysis, and reporting
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, laws, and standards
Skills & Competencies: - Proficient in utilizing Microsoft products
- Capable of thriving in fast-paced and dynamic work settings
