A leading organisation in the manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced
Dispatch and Receiving Supervisor to join their dynamic operations team. This role is essential for bridging communication between Finance and Operations, ensuring that service levels consistently exceed expectations. You will oversee dispatch and receiving processes, with a focus on accurate, timely, and quality-driven operations.
Position Overview: As the Dispatch and Receiving Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and manage dispatch and receiving activities, maintaining high standards in inventory handling, packaging, and quality assurance.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, safety compliance, and an efficient dispatch process to support top-tier customer service.
Minimum Requirements: - Matric (NQF level 4); a tertiary qualification in Logistics , Transportation Management , or Supply Chain is a plus.
- 3-5 years in a Dispatch and Receiving environment, with proven supervisory experience.
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Valid driver’s license and own transport; forklift and crane licenses are advantageous.

Responsibilities: - Dispatch & Packaging Management
- Coordinate and manage dispatch processes, ensuring packaging meets high-quality standards for safety and presentation.
- Plan daily delivery schedules for optimal route efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Verify product tags, confirm job cards, and ensure dispatch paperwork, including invoices, accompanies all shipments.
Receiving Oversight - Oversee the receiving of stock and returns, ensuring timely system updates and proper labelling.
- Perform quality checks on received components and address any discrepancies with the Operations Manager.
Team Leadership - Supervise dispatch and receiving staff, promoting a motivated, high-performance environment.
- Address HR matters professionally, including performance evaluations and managing attendance.
Fleet & Safety Compliance - Ensure vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and documentation for a safe, roadworthy fleet.
- Monitor dispatch area cleanliness and safety, maintaining company standards.
Administration & Reporting - Maintain accurate records and support the accounts team by managing invoicing accuracy and following up on overdue accounts.
- Provide daily delivery performance feedback and ensure all dispatch documentation is filed accurately.
