Purpose The purpose of the role is accurate stock control, receiving of materials and products; to ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times, that Halaal certification is maintained and up to date and to co-ordinate machine maintenance.
Key Requirements: - Grade 12 or NQF equivalent
- Own transport
- Must be able to be certified by the South African National Halaal Authority
- Knowledge of Halaal requirements
- Previous supervisory experience
- Work overtime or night shift when required
- Thorough knowledge of HACCP system
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a food manufacturing environment
- Physical body strength
Skills: - Good numeracy
- Good attention to detail
- Know how to use Excel and Word
- Able to supervise people
Key Functions: - Maintain optimum stock levels and accurate, up-to-date records as required by the companys Consumer Safety Management System
- Daily and weekly stock counts
- Order and receive raw materials, products and packaging accurately and timeously
- Verify that all raw materials, product and packaging received comply with the companys Consumer Safety Management System
- Verify that all raw materials, product and packaging received comply with the companys Halaal requirements
- Maintain orderly storage of bulk materials, products and packaging
- Accurate system maintenance of all orders and stock
- Co-ordinate weekly maintenance for all factory machines and buildings
- Supervise a team of employees
