Design Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our innovative, fast-growing company. You’ll be a member of our brilliant engineering team, contributing to the design of new cutting-edge products.
To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience on Electrical substations, Lines and Electrification; with strong attention to detail and a creative flair. It’s also important that you have rock-solid project management skills to meet the daily demands of the role.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with clients and colleagues to develop a design brief
- Using mathematical knowledge and skills to design solutions
- Researching whether the design will work and be cost-effective
- Assessing and testing the usability, environmental impact and safety of a design
- Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes
- Collecting and analysing data from tests on prototypes
- Modifying designs and retesting them
- Managing the development process, including tracking progress and costs, and keeping clients informed
Desired Experience & Qualification
- B Eng / B -Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in the field
- ECSA registration as a professional engineer or engineering technologist

Working hours are likely to be 9.00am to 5.00pm much of the time, while longer hours will be needed around project deadlines. You will need to travel to meet clients.
