Our Client, a well-established, profitable and leading export trading business, is seeking to urgently appoint a results-oriented, delivery-focused, hands-on Group Financial Director to join their dynamic, rapidly expanding, and innovative export trading operation. Based in Durban.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Financial Reporting for all companies under their control (local and international)
- Monitoring cash flows
- Funding and facility negotiations
- Risk management and implementation of controls in South Africa and monitoring the same in group companies abroad. This includes guidelines and controls, costing and checklist approval, credit control, forward cover, and insurance
- Supplier agreements & Legal matters
- Tax related matters and decisions
- Staff management (approximately 25)
- Training
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have 10 years' experience in a Financial Manager / Financial Director role
- Must be a qualified CA
- Ideally experience in an FMCG, logistics/distribution, or export company
- Experience in dealing with Foreign Currency and controls
- Experience in overseeing the Financial departments for a group of companies based both locally in South Africa and abroad.
- Good understanding of SA tax laws and ideally Mauritian and Seychelles taxation laws too.

Salary package R1.8m to R2.2m p.a. dependent on experience.
