Our Delivery Stations are at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing business:they’re where we manage our fast-moving inventory. Our associate teams stowdeliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out: each of thesegroups have played their part in taking us where we are today. It’s in this logistics environment that we will need an experienced Health andSafety Manager to play a critical role. You will be managing overall Healthand Safety standards in our Delivery Stations, while also working towards thecontinuous improvement of functionality and efficiency. Responsibilities You will be managing key aspects of output: people management, metrics,productivity targets, and process improvements. The extent of your duties willinclude: - Managing Health and Safety and employee satisfaction at yourDelivery Stations, including supervising employee wellbeing and productivity - Proactively collaborating on Health and Safety projects, across allbased Operations sites, - Providing authoritative guidance on Health & Safety matters to allstakeholders, especially on those relating to your designated area ofresponsibility, - Review and audit arrangements for Health & Safety management, whilecontinuously improving these arrangements where appropriate - Plan and strategize work systems around reducing Health and Safety risks,e.g. recommending suitable adaptations to machinery and processes - Ensure robust reporting regimes are in place for Health and Safetystatistics - Provide management with information and statistics related to your area ofresponsibility - Support business change, via effective change management processes in thecontext of your Delivery Stations fast-paced environment - Drive behavioural culture change programmes, across a large, complex,multi-shift operation - Implement and review Amazon’s global safety policies, ensuring that locallegislative requirements are also met. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 - Experience in workplace health & safety (WHS) related field - High school or equivalent - Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity - Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security orpersonnel issues in the workplace ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in emergency response - Experience in workers compensation case management Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
