Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Paarl, Western Cape
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for property development projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and value engineering to ensure financial efficiency.
- Manage project costs from inception to completion, including tender evaluations and contract administration.
- Monitor and control project costs, preparing interim valuations, and final account settlements.
- Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Prepare and issue accurate reports related to financial performance, risk, and progress of projects.
- Utilize WinQS software for project cost management and reporting.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
Requirements:
- A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification (Diploma, Degree or higher).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or property development industry.
- Proficiency in WinQS software is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract law, and project management principles.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Good organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
