JOB TITLE: Credit Risk Modelling Manager
SALARY: £73,521 - £81,690
LOCATION: Edinburgh, Leeds or Bristol
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

You’ll be part of a specialist modelling team focused on building and delivering industry leading Capital, Impairment, and pricing models within the Commercial book of the Group.
We work with data that underpins vital business decisions, and together we make it possible to add customer value, control risk, and help to build a safe, strong bank for our customers.
Could you help us become more insightful about data to reshape our business and deliver success?
Take ownership for delivery of modelling and analytic projects, ensuring these are completed in line with business requirements.
Lead the design of modelling solutions (calibrations, analytics & development) to high technical standards and following internal policies and external regulation.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and management to less experienced team members.
Be hands-on with data, developing and validating models and running impact assessments to understand customer behaviour and credit performance and to tell a story to the business in order to influence decision making.
Due to the nature of our work, which spans capital, pricing & IFRS9 models you will build close relationships with many other Risk teams, Impairment Finance and our business colleagues too!
Participate actively in the Decision Science management team, supporting senior managers in delivering of wider team initiatives and proactively contributing to development of positive team culture.

What you’ll need
You’ll have had experience in either capital/CRDIV modelling, pricing or impairment modelling, or a similar role
To succeed in this role you will need to have strong knowledge of SAS
You’ll have a track record of end to end project management
You’ll have an understanding of the current regulatory capital environment
Experience with stakeholder management, especially as it relates to driving change in an organization
Strong communication skills, both in writing and informally are a must
Strong analytical skills are also required
And any experience of these would be really useful
An understanding of Python, SQL, or Pyspark would be useful.
Commercial banking modelling experience would be beneficial, but is not required
People management experience would also be useful
