We require the services of a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and experience in the environmental sector will be beneficial. The primary responsibility will be to identify and secure new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with clients and contribute to the growth and success of the company. The secondary responsibility will be to raise the companys profile for prospective employees by cultivating relationships with tertiary institutions followed by regular contact or events and lifting the companys social media profile.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the environmental sector, both in South Africa and across the borders
- Assist unit managers and key account managers with heightening market awareness of the company to grow existing clients
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for current and future markets
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies and plans
- Support development of company website and social media
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients in collaboration with unit managers and key account managers in line with company strategy
- Along with the CEO, negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for all parties
- Promote company to prospective employees by heightening awareness of the company profile to attract talent, through effective digital media marketing campaigns
- Establish links and build networks with tertiary institutions producing graduates that could find employment with company.
- Collaborate with unit managers, geographic offices and key account managers to ensure the correct expertise is applied to meet client requirements
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities and performance, with recommendations for improvement
- Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities to promote the company
- Provide input and support for strategic planning and business development initiatives
Qualifications and minimum requirements:
- Degree/Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or related
- Proven experience in business development, with a track record of achieving targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry standards, not only in South Africa, but also in the rest of Africa
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and partners at all levels
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as required

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in MS Office, with experience using data analytics tools
- Planning, organising and execution able to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans to capitalise on them
