Job Description:
Eosol Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our team in the successful execution of our solar photovoltaic project in Limpopo. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a minimum of two years of project management experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Project Manager with all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring that all objectives are met within established timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning and execution of the 148MW solar PV project, providing support across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are tracked and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project activities, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operation.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Project Manager regarding status, risks, and issues.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Support the management of project budgets, tracking expenditures and assisting in cost control efforts.
- Engage with stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and local authorities, to facilitate smooth communication and project execution.
- Participate in site visits and meetings, providing on-the-ground support and insight to the Project Manager.
- Assist in the identification and mitigation of project risks, proposing solutions to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all stages of the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar power projects.
- Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic technologies and their application in large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results-driven project execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
