*HGV Driver & Transport Night Supervisor - 4 on 4 off night shift (6pm to 6am)*
*White's Recycling are looking for a Transport Supervisor to support the busy transport department.*
We are one of the largest waste tankering companies in the country.
We predominantly operate vacuum tankers along with bulk tippers.
We have a large client base spread across England and Wales and deliver a first class service to all our customers.
*Job purpose*
Provide a full range of administrative and first line support to the transport team during the night.
*Principal duties and responsibilities*
* Liaising with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
* Liaising with Drivers on routes, supporting the drivers with day-to-day instructions and answering any queries in a polite and helpful manner.
* To collate, input and file relevant paperwork as required.
* Support with any transport related task as needed to support the smooth operation of the department.
* Delivery of pre-planned routes
* Inputting jobs onto the system when needed
* To drive, as and when required, various vehicle types within your licence categories.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous transport experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
* The ability to use MS Office applications (including Outlook & Excel).
* The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
* Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
* A broad understanding of drivers’ hours legislation and good knowledge of the UK road network would be beneficial.
* LGV C&E Class 1 licence is essential.
