You will form part of an existing financial team (1 direct report) and report to the General Manager. This position offers an opportunity to gain
valuable experience through leading a team, compiling relevant financial reports and conforming to tax regulations.
Your tasks
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Forecasting and budgeting at subsidiary level
Managing month-end closure processes
Overseeing the finance team’s performance
Capturing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (IT/VAT/PAYE)
Administer the payroll function (SimplePay)
Collaborating with other departments reliant on financial data
Taking charge of general tasks within the finance department
Required profile
Tertiary degree in accounting or finance
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
Minimum 2 years related work experience
Practical accounting experience including the preparation of financial statements
Advanced computer skills (E.g. NetSuite, MS Office, Power BI)
Any managerial experience will be beneficial
Excellent English and Afrikaans communication skills
Good planning and general management
Dynamic, innovative and willing to go the extra mile
Interest in agriculture and/or sustainability
