We are looking for an experienced *Locum Veterinary Surgeon* to join our team in *Macclesfield, Cheshire*. This is a temporary role from *10th October 2024 to 31st January 2025*, with a five-day workweek. The position includes some Saturday shifts, ensuring flexibility for the right candidate. You will be responsible for consultations, surgeries, and general patient care in a well-equipped, supportive practice.
*Location*: Macclesfield, Cheshire
*Contract*: Temporary (10/10/2024 to 31/01/2025)
*Working Hours*: 5 days per week
*Shift Times*: 08:00 - 19:00
*Saturday Cover*: Some Saturdays required, 08:00 - 13:00
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform routine consultations and a variety of small animal surgeries.
* Provide high-quality diagnostic, treatment, and aftercare for patients.
* Build strong relationships with clients and communicate treatment plans effectively.
* Participate in a team-focused environment, ensuring excellent standards of care.
* Complete detailed and accurate patient records.
* Some Saturday cover (08:00 - 13:00) required as part of the rota.
*Requirements*
* MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
* Previous experience in small animal practice.
* Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to cover some Saturdays during the contract period.
