We have an exciting opportunity for a, *Specialty Doctor* to work with us *East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust* in *Emergency Medicine*.
We are looking for a doctor dedicated to, and passionate about, improving health and wellbeing within the East Kent community.
*Your key responsibilities will be to:*
* To provide high quality care to patients including clinical leadership and supervision of junior medical staff, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are provided to all patients attending the ED.
* To be proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment and clinical decision making, whilst ensuring that the Emergency Access Standards are adhered to, ensuring that we deliver safe, high quality care.
* Patient safety, dignity and care are the highest priority and at the centre of all that we do. Whilst on duty in the department the ED consultant will provide highly visible and focussed clinical leadership - working in conjunction with the nurse in charge of the shift and the SpR/specialty doctor lead to ensure that there is effective and timely communication between the clinical team maintaining optimal patient flow.
* To be proactive in the Care Group’s clinical governance agenda and take on leadership roles to support continuous learning and improvement, thereby abiding by the clinical and corporate governance policies of the Trust.
* To liaise with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address issues arising that affect the services.
* To participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes.
* To communicate with local GPs.
* You will be supported by a team enthusiastic EM Consultants together with administrative staff including secretarial support and provided with access to an adequately equipped office space with IT facilities.

* *Shift pattern: *Various ad hoc shifts available.
* *Hours per week: *20-50 hours available
* *Start date: *ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
* *Rate of pay: *From £56.20 social £57.91 unsocial
* *Payment method: *PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies

* Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
