Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate and commercially aware Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and diagnose various eye conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide ongoing patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases
- Prescribe corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses, based on individual patient needs
- Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, including but not limited to refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and the importance of regular eye examinations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Be commercially aware and be able to identify client 'needs' and make recommendations accordingly.
Experience:
- Experience in providing patient care in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with senior care is a plus
