Aspris are recruiting for a Psychotherapist to join our Therapy team. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team offer an integrated approach within our residential children’s homes, offering flexible, one-to-one therapy with our young people, and will be required to work closely with the Head of Therapy and Senior Psychotherapist’s to deliver high-quality, therapeutic support to our children.
Responsibilities Include :
Direct Clinical Work
Manage your own caseload, both in-person and remotely.
Provide collaborative therapeutic assessments and identify when additional guidance is needed.
Training & Development
Deliver training workshops to internal staff, such as practitioners, managers, and external professionals (e.g., schools), as needed.
Opportunity to develop therapeutic training programs, including researching relevant theories.
Caseload and Record Management
Ensure high-quality therapeutic records and reports, evaluating the impact of interventions and support provided.
Lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the young people, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the child/young persons’ therapy plan.
Receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual therapeutic needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant professional qualifications in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Registered as a therapeutic practitioner with BACP, UKCP, or HCPC, adhering to their Professional and Ethical Frameworks.
At least 2 years of experience providing therapeutic support to children and young people.
Fulfilled and exceeded the minimum clinical hours required by the relevant professional body.
Experience in effectively responding to safeguarding concerns.
Skilled in delivering formulation-driven, collaborative, and goal-focused therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
Experience in preparing comprehensive, high-quality clinical reports within required timelines.
Experience in professionally liaising with a range of stakeholders, including those in health, social care, education, and law enforcement.
Competence in using database systems for recording and maintaining information.
