This iconic London sports team & venue is looking to appoint its first Procurement professional to manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring all contracts and purchasing processes are in line with the club’s strategic, financial and sustainability requirements. As Procurement Consultant in this greenfield role you will be responsible for the introducing a procurement function which drives greater efficiencies, correlates to the culture and values of the club, and centralises the processes for contracts for every department.
This is a pivotal role and will be focussed on 3 main tenets: cash, culture and contracts. With an aim to be Net Zero by 2030, sustainability will be a key focus but enabling the club to reinvest any savings will be paramount. However, the single most important element to the role will be developing strong relationships both internally and externally, including with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
This role is being offered on a 3 day-a-week basis, with 1 day based in their London offices.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with key employees to determine their product and service needs.
- Undertaking a procurement audit of the club, reviewing current supplier contracts, vendor history and processes.
- Introducing a formal procurement policy which all senior leadership will adhere to
- Work across various RFP Processes and ensure consistency and compliance.
- Ensure procurement processes prioritise the club’s sustainability strategy.
- Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
- Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
- Managing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement for the organisation.
- Introducing a reporting function that tracks key contractual obligations.
- Creating additional policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation where required.
Reporting to the Company Secretary and FD, this role would unquestionably suit an individual with an interest in sport.
