I am seeking a Chartered Accountant for a well-established client in the centre of Halifax town.
The role of a chartered accountant includes:
- Managing financial systems and budgets
- Conducting financial audits and providing advice
- Liaising with clients to offer financial information and guidance
- Reviewing company systems and assessing risk
- Testing to verify financial information and systems
- Advising on tax planning within current laws to minimize tax liability and addressing tax-related issues in business activities like acquisitions and mergers
- Keeping accounting records and preparing accounts and management information for small businesses
- Consulting on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
- Guiding clients on business improvement or insolvency matters
- Detecting and preventing fraud
- Supervising junior staff
- Working with internal and external auditors to address financial irregularities as they occur
- Generating reports and recommendations post-audits
- Preparing financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts
- Organizing financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
- Consulting on tax and treasury matters
- Negotiating terms with suppliers.
Candidates must be suitably qualified.
