Work-Based Learning Manager for Service Industries, Care, and Early Years
As a Work-Based Learning Manager, you ll develop and oversee apprenticeships and workplace learning programs to meet employer and learner needs. Key tasks include managing daily WBL operations, coordinating assessors, supporting team performance targets, budgeting, and performance reporting.

Salary: £35,000 - £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Engage with employers to increase apprenticeship recruitment and promote programs through events and school visits.
- Curriculum Design: Plan, manage, and ensure curriculum meets industry standards and contractual requirements, working with awarding organizations.
- Learner Support: Collaborate with the Employer Engagement Team to support learner recruitment, assessment, and progress tracking, promoting equality in learning outcomes.
- Staff Management: Lead a team of assessors, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and ensuring staff development aligns with college standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure robust quality controls are in place, manage budgets, and support departmental improvement initiatives.
Ideal Candidate: - Qualifications: Level 3 vocational (Service Industries, Care, Early Years), A1 Assessor, V1/Lead IQA; Cert Ed/PGCE (desirable)
- Experience: Teaching/assessing, apprenticeship standards, team leadership, quality assurance
- Skills: Strong organization, communication, IT; knowledge of H&S and funding; flexible and resourceful
- Disposition: Team player, committed to inclusivity, equality, and safeguarding
