Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated On-the-Road Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our rental ovens at various sites. This role requires frequent travel, offering a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent technical skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs of ovens at various client locations, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
- Install, configure, and calibrate new Combi Oven Rentals.
- Liaise with office staff to ensure accurate communication with customers.
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a field service engineer, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Full UK driving license is required.
Desirable:
- Vocational qualifications in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics) or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant technical areas (e.g. NVQ level 2 or above in an electrical discipline / 18th Edition BS7671).
- Previous experience working with catering equipment is advantageous but not essential.
