Our client, a global brand based in Newcastle, are on the lookout for a Creative Designer to join their creative team. For this role we need someone who has the knowledge and skills to produce forward thinking, trend focused designs to be implemented across a range of hard and soft products. Working with the Creative Team Lead, you will create range plans, understanding commerciality to drive aesthetics across the product portfolio.
Role and responsibilities:
- Strong design and illustrator skills with knowledge of the full Adobe Software Suite.
- Create and apply colour, decoration, materials and finishes across hard and soft goods.
- Interpret and understand how annual trend work can influence ownable colour and decoration and create annual trend based products for retailer exclusives.
- Participate in the sharing of initial trend work on an annual basis with the wider teams to ensure trends are considered by all.
- Collaborate internally to bring trends to life across categories.
- Inspire the wider business on the importance of moving colour and deco work into leading brand positioning to maximise product appeal.
- Lead research to support global trends.
- Manage workload to hit deadlines.
- Research and understand the importance of trends and understand how competitors do this across the globe.
