Data Analyst
Citywire is on the lookout for a talented Data Analyst to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders, helping them unlock the potential of their data to drive key decisions and achieve their goals.
As a Data Analyst at Citywire, you'll be at the heart of our data-driven initiatives. You'll collaborate with various teams across the company, helping them understand their data needs and delivering the insights they require. This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys working with data, solving complex problems, and driving projects that make a real impact.
What you ll be doing:
-Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide the data they need to meet their goals.
-Extract data from various sources and produce clear, insightful reports that support business decisions.
-Dive deep into datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can guide strategic decision-making.
-Work alongside the Data Engineering team to ensure data is properly structured for analysis and reporting and collaborate with Development teams to ensure accurate data capture at the source.
-Help colleagues across the business become data champions within their own departments by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need.
-Lead and contribute to engineering projects based on the company s data needs.
What we re looking for:
-Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex data concepts to colleagues at all levels.
-Analytical Approach: Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and build reports from raw data.
-Data Visualisation: Proficiency in visualising data in a way that s easy to understand for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in:
-Some proven experience in a Data Analyst role.
-SQL: Proficient in manipulating data using SQL.
-Google Big Query: Experience with Google Big Query or similar platforms.
-Visualisation Tools: Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio or equivalent.
-NoSQL Databases: Experience working with NoSQL databases.
-Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms.
-Excel/Google Sheets: Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
-Power Query: Experience with Power Query is a plus.
