We are looking to recruit for a Field Service Engineer to join our U.K. field-based team in the Stevenage and North London surrounding areas.
The role's primary responsibilities are to service and maintain designated IMO Car Wash machines/units to correct Company standards and in compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, risk assessments and policies. In the course of their job, Field Service Engineers are required to ensure all maintenance and safety records are up to date and are also required to assist and support the Company with their renovations projects.
Travel is required to all IMO Car Wash sites located in each designated area, but Field Service Engineers should remain flexible at all times and be prepared to travel to sites outside their usual area, as required by the business (for example, but not limited to, when providing cover).
*About the role*
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Servicing and maintaining car wash sites including diagnostic fault finding.
* ‘On-Call’ Emergency & Breakdown cover – 1 in 2 weekends.
* Installing and commissioning of car wash equipment and associated components.
* Completing all maintenance and safety records associated with maintenance and health and safety activities.
* Re-ordering parts to maintain allocated parts stock in accordance with the company schedule.
* Communicating with Engineering in Bradford on completion of all allocated work/tasks prior to leaving car wash site.
* Ensuring compliance with regulations issued by the Health and Safety Executive from time to time.
* Working on any other projects and ad hoc activities connected with engineering maintenance as may be specified.
*About the successful candidate*
The successful candidate should:
* Be experienced in Mechanical Engineering essential
* Be electrical competent, including Control panels & 400V essential
* Have welding & abrasive wheels (Grinding) experience beneficial
* Have experience in parts fitting & assembly (an advantage)
* Have basic experience in plumbing and an understanding of calibration (an advantage)
* Have basic level IT, including Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel (an advantage)
* Be prepared to travel extensively

It is essential that the successful candidate has:
* Minimum grade C English and Maths (or equivalent)
* A full and valid driving licence that permits driving in the U.K., with no more than 6 points or endorsements
* Electrical - Installation or Maintenance (preferred but not essential)

Hours of work for this role are primarily 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
The successful candidate will also be required to be "on call" at weekends on a rota basis.
