The Digital Signal Processing Engineer (DSP Engineer) will be involved and responsible for the design, development, and optimization of advanced digital signal processing algorithms and techniques, which power the innovative products and systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams. The DSP Engineer will leverage deep technical expertise to drive the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.
Key duties will include:
Provide technical leadership, deliver detailed signal analyses, prototype hardware designs, and communication system assessments via briefings and/or technical reports to customers and colleagues.
Conduct research pertaining to advanced signal processing, GPS/GNSS technology, and/or re-configurable communication systems.
Develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms with applications to GPS/GNSS receivers, communication transceivers, and/or digital signal processing primarily on re-configurable platforms.
Analyse signal processing performance using MATLAB, Python, or similar simulation environments.
The ideal person would be someone who:
Has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Has 5 years’ experience in implementing digital communications and/or DSP algorithms.
Has experience with integration and testing of communication and/or radar systems.
Has simulation tool experience such as MATLAB, Python, or similar.
Has experience with radar signal processing techniques (e.g., pulse compression, detection processing).
Has a valid drivers license and own vehicle.
RSA Citizen.
No criminal record.
Preferably already reside in the Cape Town region.
