Our client is looking for a Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic Trainer who is fluent in Portuguese to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training mechanics in the maintenance, repair, and operation of heavy earthmoving machinery, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge Key Responsibilities: Training Delivery: Develop and deliver training programs on the maintenance and repair of heavy earthmoving equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and graders. Curriculum Development: Create and update training materials, manuals, and guides to ensure they are current and comprehensive. Hands-On Instruction: Provide practical, hands-on training sessions to mechanics, demonstrate techniques and best practices. Assessment: Evaluate trainees performance through tests, practical assessments, and feedback sessions. Technical Support: Offer ongoing technical support and mentorship to trainees and other mechanics. Safety Training: Emphasize safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of training sessions, trainee progress, and certification statuses. Qualifications: Experience: Extensive experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with a focus on earthmoving machinery. Language Skills: Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English. Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy equipment. Knowledge of Cat and Komatsu machinery will be an advantage. Education: Red Seal; vocational training or certification in heavy equipment mechanics is preferred. Training Experience: Previous experience in a training or instructional role is highly desirable. Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to create engaging training materials. Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions.
