Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to structure, design and develop the reporting capabilities of the Institute to ensutre compliance with the IFRS framework. Key Outputs GENERAL LEDGER MAINTENANCE Maintain the chart of accounts for the organisation. Review of general Ledger Recons. Review of Interest Schedules for Regions and accurately processing thereof. Liaise with internal and external auditors. Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to for internal audit purposes. Prepare year end audit files. Review Fixed Assets and Maintain Fixed Asset Accounts. Update Daily Cash Flow. Prepare Journal entries for processing into General Ledger. Post all Journals into General Ledger. Process Forex Invoices/Journals for International Travel. REPORTING AND CONSOLIDATION Prepare Monthly reporting on the performance of SAICA and its entities to Financial Manager. Financial information prepared for management accounts. Analyze and interpret reports. Maintain reporting and consolidation processes and ensure continuous improvement. Preparation of the annual financial statements in line with IFRS for standalone entities and consolidation. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS In depth knowledge of statutory returns (e.g Vat) Review and prepare above returns. Engaging with statutory institutions on disputes. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Develop, manage, support the direct team effectively to deliver against organisational objectives as well as the teams individual plans. Drive a positive culture of collaboration and integration within the team. Effective management of performance guided by company policies and procedures. GENERAL Assist Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks. Prepare schedules for the Annual financial statements. Submit and monitor Insurance Claims. Prepare Communication Claims. Liaising with Draft works. Qualifications Newly qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) or CTA (from a SAICA approved institution).
