Oversee daily operations of the retail store to ensure efficiency, meet sales and profitability targets, and maintain quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for daily operations and inventory management.
- Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and ensure product availability.
- Set pricing strategies and analyze sales trends while ensuring a safe and clean shopping environment.
- Foster strong customer relationships, address issues effectively, and report on customer feedback.
- Ensure performance agreements are in place for all staff, conduct performance appraisals, and support employee training and development.
- Assist in budget preparation and management, monitor spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 6)
- Advantageous: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 7)
Experience
- Minimum: 5 years in Retail Sales or Marketing, including up to 3 years in a supervisory role.
Skills
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant software.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
