- Qualified Mechanic (Tractor/Diesel) – Red Seal
- At least 5 years of experience as Mechanic specialising in Case
- Leadership experience in leading and mentoring of 5 years.
- Experience in workshop management of 10 years
- Financial Background (budgets, forecasts and management of deviations )
- Willing to do excessive travelling (Provide face to face support to all mechanisation business units. 12 branches across Limpopo and Free State)
- Excellent People skills including management, mentoring, conflict handling and building long term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties:
The ideal team player will lead CLIENT workshop teams , ensure exceptional service delivery, and drive continuous improvement.
- Management of the workshops within the CLIENT GROUP.
- Providing Technical advice to internal and external stakeholders of various products and services.
- The candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the various workshop teams providing guidance on policies and procedures and offering mentorship to subordinates.
- The Technical Manager is responsible to ensure that apprentices are well trained, equipped and mentored to ensure high quality individuals to be delivered to the market.
- The Technical Manager is responsible for all claims with regard to products sold including PIP.
- Minimise of risk in terms of quality, service, policies and procedures in the workshops is the responsibility of the technical manager.
- The technical manager is responsible to ensure the correct payment of mechanics based on their hourly rate and hours worked and timeously send through for payroll within set deadlines.
- Responsible to report on the financial performance of the workshops, do budgets, manage deviations, identify trends, mitigate risks through analysing of financial reports.
- Responsible to continuously be up to date with new technology and trends in the agricultural industry and undergo continuous training to keep CLIENT in the front line with regards to new developments and improvements to products.
- Dealing with customers, suppliers and internal departments to provide an exceptional service experience, including providing aftersales service and dealing with complaints.
