An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham requires an assistant quality manager.
Duties:
- Advanced product quality planning (APQP)
- Production part approval ( PAP) process for new and modified products or processes.
- CMM and calibration.
- Address supplier quality concerns and maintain appropriate records.
- Address internal quality and product concerns, implement corrective and peventative measures.
- Investigate and resolve customer quality and product complaints.
- Ensure (CAR s) corrective action request on quality issues are raised and completed within agreed time scales.
- Calibration and product specific gauge studies (MSA) measurement systems analysis.
- FMEA / control plans / SPC /MSA / PSW / PPAP / IMDS / CSR
- Revalidation / layout inspection.
- Drawing control / register.
- Update key process documents. (Typically FMEA / control plans / route cards etc.)
- Supporting first off / patrol / last off inspectors
- CMM programming and operating using PC-DMIS
- Internal auditing.
- Guidance and coaching to the department s employees.
Requirements:
- Experience in quality engineering.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday on day shift.
This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
