Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for partnering with stakeholders to achieve financial goals? Our client, Lincolnshire Police are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their team. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing financial advice, support, and training to budget holders, enabling them to effectively manage their areas of business.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a comprehensive financial management service for a designated segment of our client's organisation.
Partner with budget holders to prepare accurate monthly management reports and forecast outturn positions.
Advise and assist budget holders in developing corrective action plans for budget overspends.
Conduct regular reviews with assigned budget holders to ensure accurate monitoring and challenge.
Collaborate with budget holders and project managers to develop budgets for designated areas.
Deliver training on finance, procurement, and contract regulations to enhance budget holders' financial management skills.
Conduct financial evaluations for future service developments, ensuring affordability and value for money.
Advise on commercial and taxation aspects of service developments, particularly in capital projects.
Ensure month-end close is completed in line with deadlines, including reviewing prepayments and accruals.
Contribute to the development of financial reports that meet the needs of senior managers and Chief Officers.
Requirements:
- Full AAT or Part-qualified CCAB accountant.
- Significant experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant role.
- Proven skills in generating reports from financial systems and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, including financial modelling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to explain complex financial information to non-financial managers.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and prioritise work to meet challenging deadlines.
- Demonstration of the organisation's values and commitment to personal development.
- Lived within the UK continuously for at least 5 years at the time of application for Police Vetting purposes
