We are seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in St Albans. You will play a key role in supporting the finance department by managing daily transactions, reconciliations, and accounts management. This position offers a chance to grow with a stable and rapidly expanding company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Prepare daily remittance reports and identify any discrepancies.
- Reconcile invoice discounting and bank accounts.
- Post and verify received invoices, escalating any issues.
- Conduct weekly reviews of the sales ledger with account managers.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and bank reconciliations.
- Carry out credit collection calls when needed.

The Person
- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including VAT.
- Experience with SAGE 50 (multi-currency) and proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ/SVQ, AAT) are desirable.
- Payroll experience is a plus.
